Don't Forget About Your Pets While Moving
|
|
It is sometimes easy to overlook what our pets are going through when it comes time for the move. Be sure to make time for them prior, during, and after the move. They can sense how you are feeling and will respond accordingly. New problems can arise if not handled up front.
As soon as you know that a move is coming, ask your Veternarian for a copy of the records. This will save you time once you arrive and need to find a new Veternarian. I can also assist you in finding one close to your new home.
If your pet has an ID Chip be sure to update as soon as you can. Possibly before you even move. Your pet will be in unfamiliar surroundings and you will be preoccupied and the possibility of escaping is at its greatest.
As your Realtor I would be happy to help you with the details, and to help you and your pets a safe and happy adjustment.
If you decide to add an addition to your furry family once you are settled, please keep in mind the many pets that would love to have a forever home and now live in a shelter or with a rescue group. I have some links on the right to help you get started. I am always available to help you when you need it.
